CODE OF CONDUCT
Young Sikh Professionals Network (YSPN)
This Code of Conduct (‘Code’) establishes the behavioural standards to be observed by YSPN’s executive committee members, attendees, volunteers, suppliers, contractors and other participants.

The standards set out in this Code apply to any YSPN related event, program, activity or communication (including verbal, written, email or on any virtual platform) (each referred to as an ‘Event’).
1. STANDARDS
You agree:

To behave professionally including:

Be respectful, considerate and collaborative

Present yourself in an appropriate and professional manner including in dress code, communications, actions etc.

Comply with the reasonable rules, policies and directions required by YSPN or any venue or platform hosting an Event

Not to engage (directly or indirectly) in any unacceptable behavior. Unacceptable behaviour includes harassment, discrimination, sexual harassment, stalking, verbal or physical abuse, uninvited physical contact, bullying, intimidation , defamatory comments, disruptive behaviour, bribery, unlawful behaviour, unwanted sexual attention (including inappropriate questions/comments of a sexual nature, making sexually explicit jokes etc.)

Not to take unwanted or unauthorised photography, videography or recordings.

If you are a YSPN executive member, you also agree to comply with the above standards when performing your role as an executive member.

If you are attending a YSPN Event, you also agree that YSPN may take photos or videos at/of the Event and the attendees which it may use for marketing purposes (including publishing such materials on its website and other platforms). If you have any concerns, please contact us using the contact details below.
2. REPORTING ANY WITNESSED OR SUSPECTED BREACH OF THESE STANDARDS
If you witness, suspect or are subjected to, any breach of these standards or unacceptable behaviour, kindly report this immediately to a YSPN representative.
3. CONSEQUENCES OF BREACHING THESE STANDARDS
Should any breach of these standards be observed, suspected or reported, YSPN may take such actions that it considers reasonably necessary (in its sole discretion) to ensure the safety and wellbeing of others, and/or to maintain a professional environment. Such actions may include removal of an individual(s) from an Event (without any refund of fees), denial of entry to an Event, and/or banning of an individual(s) from any future Events. YSPN may also report such breaches to other third parties including to an individual’s employer, a law-enforcement agency or a regulatory body.
